One of the best things that happened on the internet is the introduction of blogging as a form for people to reach out to others regardless of the kind of life they lead. Whether you are a techie person who blogs about the latest technological advancement or a mom who lovingly maintains a home and raises kids, the best blogging platform can be your voice to reach out to others.
New bloggers are likely to think that pleasing their audience or their readers is always the end in mind when they sit in front of their computers and write. To some extent this is true, but there is more to the art of blogging than just seeing the number of visitors go up. It is always exciting to see that our dashboard is busy with comments from visitors and our stats counter continue to move. But sometimes, there are just those days that we feel that our efforts to entertain is not yielding the results we want to see.
There will always be days when you feel that no matter how you try to make things entertaining, the visitors will stop coming or the comments dry up. This may be a scary thought for some bloggers but there’s always something that we can learn from this. We get to realize that blogging as an art is more than just the number of views we get daily. That as an art, blogging gives us the freedom to talk about anything without having to worry about an audience to please.
Blogging is our free outlet to talk and it should never be stressful nor should we panic if we don’t get to receive visitors. As with everything else, we can always look up to kids to make us feel inspired about how not to make blogging so complicated.
Kids draw inspiration from the things around them. They can be obsessed with a hobby or a sport today and when they wake up tomorrow they have completely lost interest in what they were doing. Without any questions, they look for something else that would entertain them. That should be the way we see blogging.
This is not to say that we simply abandon our followers or that we stop writing. It’s more of, we should be passionate about writing and not think too much of writing as a chore. It should never be a responsibility to keep the stats counter up, rather, blogging should be an outlet for us to get our voice heard and to unselfishly share a piece of our lives to world wide web.
The best blogging platform can always provide us with the right pages that are pleasing to our readers’ eyes. However, it is our passion to write and to share to the world our stories, without feeling obligated to push the stats counter, that we can truly feel the essence of blogging.
